"Two pictures of the almost completed car. It still has to go back to the body shop in about a month for another buffing, polishing and waxing along with a few final details, but it was on the road this weekend in the rain to Austin and back to San Antonio. The first is at the Austin gathering last Saturday; the second is ready to go into the garage at the house."

"I do have an update...with pictures. I got a call from the body shop this morning. He had already painted the hood and the decklid and wanted me to approve it. Sorry to be so modest about this guys, but this car is going to be "Drop Dead In Your Tracks GORGEOUS!! It was going in the paint booth this afternoon...three coats of primer; three coats of sealer; three coats of paint and two coats of clear coat. They are going to work on it tomorrw and Saturday and start putting it back together on Monday. I should be able to pick it up next Wednesday.

I now have to finish cleaning my half of the garage. Don't want to take a chance of a rake or something falling on it.

The hub caps are as clean as I can get them. The center caps have been removed and cleaned with steel wool, and the floor mats have been dyed black from that awful brown...was that ever a mess. Almost forgot...picked up the radio blank out cover today. My favorite radio shop in Houston wanted about $275 to repair it. Had to pass for now. Too much money on paint and Kittie needs new tires on the Yukon...yes I know I can't buy four new tires for that, but I can probably buy two. There is a picture attached of the hub cap and center cap on the dyed floor mat along with the blank out plate."

"After many, many years, I can almost see the end of the tunnel. Here's just a couple of pics. The dash is out being recovered at the upholstery shop where they are also fitting a new headliner. After that, it's back to the body shop. When all is said and done, I am told it will have four coats of hand rubbed primer. I hope to have it back in about four weeks. Anybody up for a short drive?"

Here are a couple pictures of Greg's first Porsche. Greg writes, "I am sending four pictures of my first Porsche....... Sadly, I no longer have it. I traded it way back when for a BMW and kids. Was wondering if you would post a couple of them under the picture section in my member profile. As I remember this was a 1962 356B."
