Lone Star Roundup 1-27-07
Location: Dallas, Texas

Update 3/3/07:
It's now 2007 and here we are, still going! We all got together this year at Jack's garage in Dallas and celebrate!

Not much to say about the weather except that it rained. Good thing is that everything we did was either behind the wheel or in someone's garage! We saw old friends like Randal and Delpha Goodman from Okalahoma City and made some new ones like Scott Oglee from Pflugerville, a suburb of Austin.

The morning was spent at Jack's place eating doughnuts, drinking coffee, and catching up with what everyone has been up to over the past months. A drive to lunch followed by the trek to David's house to complete the final steps in assembly and start David's gold plated motor.

Here are the pictures we collected. The first set is Scott Oglee's incendent. Can you tell how we fixed the issue of missing hardware on the clutch cable even though we did not have a nut? After that are some shots of Jack's garage. Then its some car shots and pictures of David's motor being started for the first time. It ran as good as it looked! Thanks to Bob Anderson for sending the nice pictures from Jack's garage!

Scott's clutch cable hardware parted company with the car north of Austin on IH 35.
Fortunately he was ahead of Matt and I on the road and we were able to stop and get
him back on track with a little creative hardware buildup.

Here are the pictures I got from Bob Anderson. Jack's garage is
a great place to meet and visit with friends while being surrounded by
Porsche cars and all sorts of Porsce stuff.

These pics are from our visit to David's place from Greg Bade. The red 914 and black 356 outlaw
are David's. The gold plated 616 you see in the pictures is destined for the outlaw.
